Ruth and Beth rode from Scriba to Selkirk Shores State Park via County Route 1, estimated 30 miles round trip. The weather was beautiful, and the lake view was stunning! Many families were enjoying July 4th at the park. While Ruth is able to spot a quarter (or dime) along the roadside with amazing skill, Beth discovered that she is able to spot a dollar bill... twice!! The emergency fund grew today! Beth's daughters have told her to NEVER, NEVER pick up cans while on a bike journey, but she was sure they wouldn't mind her picking up dollar bills. Ruth and Beth are thinking about adding NYS field guides for birds and plants into their bike packs. Are they teachers, or what?? Happy Birthday, America!
