"Highway to Holiness" Isaiah 35:8

Psalm 24:4 "In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness;
let your right hand display awesome deeds.

Ladies, here is a place to pedal around in. Ride on!

I scream! You scream!

Beth & Ruth rode out to sing Happy Birthday to Mrs. Fresch.  Then we rode out past Bev's.  On the way back, we stopped at Bev's for ICE CREAM!  The amazing thing was that counting the dime and the quarter I picked up along the road during the ride, we had just exactly the $3.67 to pay for our two small soft ice cream cones.  The Lord certainly does provide!

Today Ruth rode me through St. Peter's Cemetery going east out of Oswego on Mitchell Street. A very green and serene ride. The little roads that wind through the monuments and headstones are paved and there is a gorgeous view looking out over the lake from the hilltop.

It was another one of those tri-cycles which is nice.  I got to catch up with Suzette and Carmella while the riders were hollering down and huffing up the hills.  All six of us had our picture taken together in the Tyler's driveway.

It's not easy being green.

4/24/08  This evening we, Beth, Deb, and Ruth, tri-cycled from the Oswego High School tennis courts to East 4th Street.  Beth's bike is named Carmella, for its' color! Deb's bike's name is Suzette!  Ruth's is Jade, for its' color!  Ride on!

 Beth & Ruth after a Scriba Block with the Fort tacked on! 4/18/08

4/ 16/08 We did it!  M.S.** & I, rode to Fulton and back on 481.  Pretty much a level ride.  The shoulder is wide enough for us to ride side-by-side. We had a lazy southeasterly wind to help blow us back to Oswego.  Total time with SSSD* breaks: 3 hours.  We ride like girls! Road Kill Report: 1 hare like critter.  Too close past Easter to give it's real name.  1 opossum.

4/15/08 Mrs. Smith and I rode out 481 South to County Route 57 to Minetto.  Mrs. Smith rode all the way up Seneca Hill.  She's awesome! Tomorrow we are riding to Fulton. We stopped by the Freshes today.  Mrs. Fresh wants to ride but she needs to get some air in her tires.  Looks like another new page title. "Tour de Fresh-Smith-Taylor-Tyler".  If we keep adding riders, our name will be longer than our rides. Sounds better than "Road Kill". Live Critter Report: One mallard duck in flight. Road Kill Report: The same squirrel from the 4/8, just a little flatter.  Remember what Henrietta says, "Splat, like a pancake!"  A good reminder to look both ways before you cross the road.  *Beware Mrs. Thorpe we're getting closer to "your neck of the woods".  Better get some air in your tires.

4/14/08  I rode with Mrs. Tyler out around the college.  Better change the page title to "Tour de Smith-Taylor-Tyler".

4/8/08 481 South to County Route 57 to Minnetto,  over the bridge and back into Oswego via route 48!  A beautiful ride! The lilies and daffadills have sprouted. Stars of Bethlehem have bloomed! Road Kill Report: 1 squirrel, 1 frog, 1 small bird

April 6, 2008

We did the same route today, minus the 50 mph westerly wind gusts we peddled into on the first.  The traffic is quieter on Route 1on Sunday. Road Kill Report: 1 rabbit, 1 cat, 1 opussum

April 1st, 2008 Maiden Voyage

No fooling, Mrs. Smith and I went on our first bike ride of 2008.  The 60 degree temperatures were irresistible! We rode from the Smith's north on Creamery Road  to Route 1, south on Kocher Road. There Mrs. Smith headed east back to her house along Middle Road.  I, Mrs. Taylor, continued south on Kocher Road to 104 heading West to City Line Road up Albany Street heading west to East 4th Street.  It was a work out biking west with the wind but we did it!  I'd guess it was about a 45-50 minute ride.  When we were heading east, the winds blew us along.

Oops!  I forgot to mention the road kill.  I know there are some of you who especially delight in this section of the Tour de Smith-Taylor journies log. Road Kill Report: 1 rabbit, 1 raccoon
